Strong Spiritual House

We are praying these scriptures over our ministry that we would be the strong spiritual house that God has intended. Pray along with us.

Exo 25:8 (NRSV) You have made us a sanctuary, so that you may dwell among us.

1 Pet 2:4-5 (NRSV) And so we come to you Lord, living stones, though rejected by men we are yet chosen and precious in your site our God, and like living stones, we are being built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to you through Jesus Christ.

1 Pet 2:9 (NRSV) We are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, your own people, who may proclaim the mighty acts of you who called us out of darkness into your marvelous light.

Eph 2:19 (NRSV) So then we are no longer strangers and aliens, but citizens with the saints and members of your household, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. In him this whole church is joined together, growing into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom we are built together spiritually into a dwelling place for you.

Eph 4:11-16 (NRSV) The gifts you gave us, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, are to equip us for the work of ministry, for building us up as the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ. We will no longer be children, tossed to and fro and blown about by every wind of doctrine, by people's trickery, by their craftiness in deceitful scheming. But speaking the truth in love, we are growing up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes our body's growth in building Harvest Church Plainfield up in love.

Psa 48:1 (NRSV) Great are you LORD and greatly to be praised in your city, your holy mountain, which we are.

Isa 56:7 (NRSV) This house is called a house of prayer for all peoples.

2 Chr 7:12-16 (NRSV) Lord we are convinced that you have heard our prayer even as you heard Solomon's, and have chosen this place for yourself as a house of sacrifice. When you shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among your people, we know that when we who are called by your name, would humble ourselves, pray, seek your face, and turn from our wicked ways, that we will then hear from heaven, and that you will forgive our sin and heal our land. Lord, we know that your eyes are open and your ears are attentive to the prayer that is made here at Harvest Church. For you have chosen and consecrated this house so that your name may be here forever; your eyes and your heart will be here for all time.

Psa 127:1 (NRSV) Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.

Psa 78:69 (NRSV) Lord you’ve built this your sanctuary like the high heavens, like the earth, which you have founded forever.

Exo 36:1 (NRSV) Just as Bezalel and Oholiab and every skillful one to whom you LORD have given skill and understanding to know how to do any work in the construction of your sanctuary, we shall work in accordance with all that you LORD have commanded.

Psa 52:8 (NRSV) We are like green olive trees in your house. We trust in your steadfast love forever and ever.

Heb 10:21-25 (NRSV) Since we have a great priest over your house, we will approach you with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. We will hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for you who have promised is faithful. And we will consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another.

1 Cor 14:12 (NRSV) Lord we are eager for spiritual gifts, and strive to excel in them for building up the church.

Mark 16:17-18 (KJV) And Jesus said that these signs shall follow them that believe; In his name we would cast out devils; we shall speak with new tongues; We shall take up serpents; and if we drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt us; we shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

1 John 5:14-15 (NIV) This is the confidence we have in approaching you Lord: that if we ask anything according to your will, you hear us. And if we know that you hear us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of you.

Psa 104:1-5 (NRSV) Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty, wrapped in light as with a garment. You stretch out the heavens like a tent, you set the beams of your chambers on the waters, you make the clouds your chariot, you ride on the wings of the wind, you make the winds your messengers, fire and flame your ministers. You set the earth on its foundations, so that it shall never be shaken.

Amen!
